Before each soak
- Check sanitizer and pH.
- Confirm water is clear and there is no unusual odor.
- Make sure the cover, steps, and surrounding area are safe.
Two to three times per week
- Test sanitizer, pH, and alkalinity.
- Adjust only what needs adjusting.
- Run jets after adding chemicals so products mix fully.
Weekly
- Rinse filters with a hose.
- Check calcium hardness and other slower-moving readings.
- Wipe the waterline to remove oils and residue.
- Review whether bather load has changed your sanitizer demand.
Monthly or as needed
- Deep clean filters according to manufacturer instructions.
- Inspect cover condition and water level.
- Check salt, borates, stabilizer, or TDS if relevant to your system.
Every few months
Drain and refill based on usage, TDS, water clarity, and manufacturer guidance. Heavy use, foaming, persistent cloudiness, or hard-to-balance water can mean it is time for fresh water sooner.
